But Sometimes...

you gotta let it go! yeah! today i slept for a long time and played a lot of video games. it was way too hot to work and definitely too hot to go to the gym. christin worked a half day, and we went to the store and spent like $90 on groceries. hence the delicious trail mix i've been snacking on all night. i said 'hence' there as though you could see it on my table and i were gesturing toward it while i spoke gently and soothingly. of course, i wasn't speaking either, i was typing.

wait, i did this joke already tonight, over here.

anyway, tomorrow i think i'm going to have to force myself to get out there and work some more. that may be troublesome. my car's a/c needs to be charged, it's not working properly. blah. but i will survive! hey hey! did i mention lately that my wife is awesome? she is. she loves me. i love her too, but you know that. because she's awesome, and i love awesome things. like rambling! that's enough rambling for tonight. goodnight.

Jolt Cola

work work. zug zug. dabu! work complete! done building ship. build more burrows! enough of that nonsense, this is blogging time. hey kids, it's me. but then again, who else would it be? i'm gonna make another rhyme, because it seems like something fine. no... stop, bud. what are you doing? this is madness. madness? no. this... is... unnecessary mockery of pop culture phraseology! okay, for real though, that's the end of that.

today i got 8 listings done. well, 'done' is a bit of a misnomer, as i was unable to properly complete 3 of them, since the people were all like 'leave your information and we'll call you back!' and i was all like 'okay!' but i'm totally not going to wait for them to call me back. because they won't call me back at all. they think i'm a salesman, and they want nothing to do with me. they were just being polite. and let's be honest: i'm not going back to any of those places.

and this is funny because you don't know my job.

yes, i'm being intentionally exclusivist and vague in this post because i think it's funny. all in good time, my friends. all in good time. i'll tell you what i do fairly soon. christin and i went to see the movie 'grown ups' today and it was pretty funny. the movie didn't really have much of a plot, but it had a lot of funny moments and some good clean fun. minus the sex jokes, of course, but you know it's hollywood. hey hey! you're so hollywood. wow. can you tell it's bedtime?

Doc Brown Says

today was productive. got some research done for my heinous final paper, which doubled as this week's assignment, and did my responses for school as well. did a bit of pre-work for my job and i will do the big push tomorrow and try to get a bunch of listings done in one fell swoop! i found out that my unemployment was automatically extended, but i've got to show proof that i'm looking for a job. fortunately, i have proof because i started putting in more applications after my old benefits had expired. so i get some extra free money!

like i said, tomorrow is gonna be full of working. i found out today that christin is leaving probably on saturday, which makes me sad because that's another two days longer that she'll be gone. i'm not a stoic, you know, it makes me sad when my wife leaves. she acts like i love it or something, but i really don't. i get a lot of free time to myself as it is now, with her working normal hours and me having a flexible job/school and being an insomniac. but i don't like the idea of her being gone the whole rest of the month. /sadface! p.s. i'm almost 80! woo!

Matter Flatter

what a boring holiday this was! i went to church this morning by myself, christin wasn't feeling good so she stayed home, and learned about pleasing sacrifice as it relates to giving. our church offered to help us get our cars registered so we can become citizens of the state and get medical assistance because we can't afford jack. that was pretty awesome. then we went to the in-laws' for hot dogs and food coma conversation.

i remember the fourth of july being exciting and filled with fireworks and adventure, but we just sat in our house ignoring the festivities. actually, i found a lot of the fireworks [which are legal for purchase here] quite annoying. some of them shook the house and scared the hell out of my poor animals. i did my quiz for class and got 100%, which was nice. tomorrow i'm going to get some work done and relax a bit. hope i sleep well tonight.

note: man, i need to stop writing these and leaving the window open without hitting post. ;-P that's so annoying!

A Bullet In The Brain Pan, Squish!

as you may have already guessed, we just got finished watching serenity. it was a fitting ending to a show that should've ran for years, and i'm sad to see it go. i've got to look into the comic now, it was all just phenomenal. space-based sci-fi with no aliens? amazing. speaking of watching, on the polar opposite spectrum of enjoyment, we also went to see the last airbender [albeit against my better judgment] which was every bit as bad as the critics said it was, but no more. it could've been good. but now i want to watch the cartoon,

today was a lazy day, filled with napping. i took a great video of christin sleeping this morning, and i will probably put it up on her channel eventually. took it on my phone. she was saying all sorts of weird stuff and speaking spanish in her sleep. yep. i took a long nap, probably too long, before the movie, but at least i'm tired at my normal hour [note: my normal hour, as this hour is by no means a standardized 'normal'] so that's good. church tomorrow. i love church. looks like i'm going to fail on the 'get to 80 before the end of the weekend' front. oh well.

Business Ethics

so i was thinking this job would just be a sort of 'go in, get out, get money' sort of situation where i wouldn't expect to find any sort of fulfillment or joy in the work. i was kind of wrong. today i only completed three and a half listings [one manager wasn't around] in about 2 hours' worth of actual work time, but i had a great time doing it and met some awesome people. i saw things happening in my community that i wouldn't have dreamed were happening, in some unlikely places.

i also ate panda express for lunch, which was nummy.

earlier today i had sworn off youtube and decided not to make videos again, because i hate feeling constrained and stressed about deadlines and stuff. but then my phone providentially died and forced me to come home earlier than i had planned from work [i do my whole job on my phone and i didn't budget my battery wisely or bring a car charger] and i got the video done anyway. i think it's pretty good. no comments yet, which is weird.

anyway, i had a good time at work and i'm having a terrible time in school. it's opposite week! but i'm okay with that, really. tomorrow i think i'll go do a few more hours of work to get a decent amount of pay for next week so i can ensure that we finally get the two cars registered in the state and become citizens of the area. that way we can get some health coverage and perhaps some dental insurance to alleviate my tooth pain. it hurts. may go to the movies tomorrow. what should we see?

Contrast

today i read. a lot. this book is quite repetitive, but highly informative, and this class is going to be a major chore. me no like. the final paper will be a total pain in the ass, but i think i'll live. maintaining my 4.0 may not be as easy as i thought. unfortunately for my education, this whole class is almost entirely irrelevant to what i'm studying. i understand why it would be useful for someone planning to teach in the u.s., but not for someone like me who wants to teach overseas.

in the afternoon/evening i did another super secret thing like the one i did last thursday. shh! don't tell anyone. christin has been having horrible days at work and that's no good, it makes me sad. the babies are being psychotic and their parents are not helping the situation. these kids are going to be spoiled brats, i tell you. meh. tomorrow night will be another lovely babysitting excursion, which basically means that me and christin get to chill out while the babies sleep.

so tomorrow morning, i'll be filming my video early [it's in the same vein as 'icetastic' for all of you eugene lovers out there] and heading off to my new job. i've got 21 listings to take care of and i'm going to see how many i can knock out in a few hours before deciding how much time to devote to work tomorrow. we'll see how it goes. i want to try and get at least this batch done by monday so i can get paid next week. that'd be nice! i forgot to ask if christin got paid today. i should probably do that in the morning. and that i shall. for now, goodnight!
